Hi everyone, I usually do not trust chance treads, but I will take a chance this time.
I am seriously looking into RPI, Syracuse, Lehigh, RISD, Northeastern, Pratt, and BU for their architecture programs. I am aware that Pratt and RISD admission is dependent on the completion of a portfolio, however, I am looking at the general GPA and SAT statistics as well as extracurricular aspects of my transcript. (Disclaimer: I was enrolled in advanced art programs since a young age, therefore I am somewhat artistically inclined, therefore my portfolio is looking to be somewhat strong). If you have any other recommendations as to other great architecture schools on the east coast, then feel free to list them as well.

Also, I have been involved in both learning the piano for 12 years and have performed at various locations such as: Carnegie Hall (4 times, and hoping for a fifth). Although not relevant to my academics of choice, this will have an impact on my list of extracurricular activities.
Hi,
Congrats. You do have excellent grades and activities. Below is the high-level information related to Architecture admission. Few things you need to remember.
There are different type of architecture program - B.Arch (5 yr)- professional; B.S/BA (4 yr) - need to do M.arch to get professional certification
Not all colleges require a portfolio. But it is a good idea to submit it. Since you have excelled in piano and performed at Carnegie Hall. It will come handy to apply to any college.
You may be able to get into most of the colleges.
My suggestion from your list is as follows
Focus on B.arch program (it will save time and money)
I would go with the following if I can get in - Cornell, Syracuse, Pratt, RISD, SCAD
Few colleges I would apply - Rice, Cal Poly, USC, Auburn.
Best of Luck.

also architecture programs have very different design philosophies - some are more design and theory oriented while others are more construction slanted. Visit them to see what feels right. Go to the studio spaces - there will be students there almost 24 hours a day and take to them
