Hi, I am an international applicant, seeking quite a lot of financial aid, planning to apply to bates ED my stats are:
New SAT: 1540
GPA unweighted: 3.73 ( I know its kind of low, but I screwed up by my first two year and really picked it up the last two years)
A level exams:
Physics(A), Chemsitry(A*), Biology (A), Maths( A), English literate © (I am planning to major in engineering)
My high school doesn’t have a class rank and I am currently taking a gap year
ECs:
Basketball team through out high school, (was one of the best high school basketball team in the country)
Worked as tutor/teaacher for A level subjects that I took at a school here in Nepal
Bunch of volunteer activities such as; Habitat for humanity, Modeled for a fundraiser, Taught Basketball etc.
Student council class rep (grade 12), along with some other leadership positions at my school
Awards:
School academic excellence award(11 & 12)
Highest marks in a biology exam in my country (11)
School leadership award (12)
I have a pretty decent essay topic, but I am still worried about my essay since writing isn’t my strongest suite.
Any help/insight is greatly appreciated,
