Chance Me at Ivies+

omg you would love it!! you should definitely apply you have the scores and everything I think you have a great shot. something i think that helped my brother in his application was his focus on the outdoors and the environment (he wanted to major in environmental studies and focused on the national parks) so even just expressing that love for the outdoors could help bc i know it’s important to the school

@emmajac my research project is centered around water sustainability and implications in mountain springs. There’s very little to do here other than hiking, biking, or working on a farm. I’ll be sure to keep your advice in my mind.

In regard to GPA, I have had all As except for a semester of AP Chemistry, which was a B. I took this class as a sophomore, and it was online as well. How big of an effect will this have?

You seem definitely qualified to be able to get accepted by a couple of Ivies.

Also the research and how you took linear algebra is interesting. I am not too sure if the ivies might count the linear algebra as credit though (from what I heard they are very selective on what credits they take).

Best of luck!

@2451271 the only confirmation, I have regarding credits if from Stanford, as Stanford offers the class. Idk about the other Ivies. Linear algebra is next semester, and I am excited about the class. The research was a byproduct of trying to compete at the science fair, but it took a different turn when I met some encouraging people.

The research part seems pretty awesome.
If Standford is accepting the credits since their school offers it, I am pretty sure MOST other ivies will take it as well since all of them offer linear algebra.

thanks
