Factors limiting success:
I have amblyopia in my left eye, where I cannot see out of it unless my right eye is covered. When I was younger, I was embarrassed of this and did not ask my teachers to move closer to see the board and this affected my grades.

Recommendations: I already know my recommendations are going to be very good because I am very close with teachers writing them. One of them is my past AP Psych teacher who thinks I'm one of the smartest students she has ever had.

Essays: I know my common app essay and supplement essays are strong.

I know this may seem ridiculous, but my GPA is not so great, so please let me know what my chances are at getting into these three schools! Thank you

You are qualified for any of the three that you mentioned. Your GPA system is sorta funky and I’m not sure how to interpret it. However, with holistic admissions, your course load is more important than your GPA. I attended several information sessions this weekend (one at Northeastern) and heard it straight from the horse’s mouth. You seem like you’ll have strong essays and recommendations, so that is good as well. I’d place GW, Oberlin, and NEU in the Match/High Match region. Best of luck!

Chance me back?

I agree that those three schools are high matches. However, Oberlin is pretty much a polar opposite of Northeastern/GWU. What is your planned major?

All three of them would be matches

You need to apply (at your favorite of these schools)
ED because your standardized test scores are not strong for RD. You dont have a chance at Swat which you mentioned in other posts, but Oberlin ED I (or Grinnell ED II) may be your best realistic option. Sorry to sound negative but I went through this with my older son and learned that the advantage of ED is huge.

I think all of these schools are matches with Oberlin being a high match, and Northeastern being a low match. None of them are safeties though, so I would definitely expand your list. I think it’s extremely likely that you’ll be accepted into at least one of these schools.
