<p>Hi Chance me at NYU, Lehigh and Emory please?
Hi i am a high school senior who is nervous and worried about college apps. Your comments will be great help for me.</p>

<p>I'm restarting this thread since there was only one reply, sorry.</p>

<p>High School GPA: UW 3.9, W4.85 ( My school doesnt rank.)
Location: Central New Jersey
SAT I: CR580 M760 W690 2030 in one sitting. My reading score is low.
SAT II: MATH II-800, Chem-760
AP: will be taking AP Stats and AP Calc this year.
Senior schedule: AP Calc, AP Stats, Physic honors, English, Music Technology
Awards: President's educational awards, AMC 12 certificate of distinction.
Extra curricular's: Jazz Band(10,11,12), Pep Band(10,11,12), Drum line(11,12), Math League(11,12), PUMAC(11,12, Princeton's math competition), Mentoring program(11)
Work Experience: Tutored kids at Kumon center for 2 years since Jan. 2011
Community Service: Praise Team at church. (3 hours every week, 9,10,11)</p>

<p>I am Asian male with permanent resident.</p>

<p>I want to major Math at NYU and UMichigan, and accounting at Lehigh and W&L.</p>

<p>You and I are very similar. For one thing, you have an awesome weighted GPA and if your school did rank, I can imagine you being in the very top percentiles. Unfortunately, it doesn’t help that you are an asian male who wants to major in math/science related fields. Your SAT score is pretty good except for reading, but it shouldn’t be too much of a factor since you are not applying in for anything english related. Your EC’s are alright but nothing really stands out to me. The only part of your description that really stands out to me is your GPA. Emory and Lehigh will probably be reaches (Lehigh’s accounting program is ranked 1st in the country), RPI will probably be a match, and NYU and U Mich will be slight reaches. Make sure to write an awesome essay and get superb recs to stand out in the applicant pool. Good luck :)</p>
