Please, could someone help me out? Would be really great!!

NYU seems like a good fit!

Thank you! Would like it if someone else could help me out as well? Again, I really need some people’s insights to help me with this?

Your ECs seem really scattered. Some music, some science, some mentorship. It doesn’t really show a passion, you just seen well rounded which isn’t good since you aren’t great at one thing.

Thank you for your comments! I might not list all the EC’s on my common app so it looks less scattered. Also do you have recommendations for some out of state (NJ) schools for engineering or physics? If I bring up my SAT to the point I want it, I was going to look at Purdue and Lehigh?

You might be in range for Union.

I think you would be in range for ED Lehigh. You may also want to check out Maryland, strong engineering and you have the stats to make it a match school in my opinion. NYU ED would also position you best.

I would prioritize Senior grades and that test score over your ec’s to best strengthen your application.

However, I think @jjrrdd is right that you would have a shot at ED for Lehigh with a 1330, but I doubt it would get you in for regular admission. Lehigh does have a large engineering program including mechanical engineering, and also has excellent placement.

where have you visited? and why did/didn’t you like those schools
do you want rural or city?
how far from home?
size of school?

there is a wide variety of place with mechanical engineering as a major

with your list - it looks like schools in cities NY/NJ

run the NPCs of the schools with accurate numbers to see what the cost might be

and find out more about the connections/differences between NYU and NYU poly

Thank You so much!

I have visited NJIT, Stevens, and have seen Rutgers Newark and New Brunswick. I liked the most was the campus for Stevens. I was looking at schools in NJ-NY area, or at least 3 Hours from NYC. Also I don’t mind if the school is large or small but only if it has a good reputation.
