<p>I'm aware my stats aren't bad, but I'm particularly concerned because I didn't do the interview. While optional, it was recommended, and I'm terrified that this will look poorly on my application. Also, while I'm visiting them in the next few weeks, I haven't been able to miss school to do so previously, so I'm afraid they'll think I'm not interested in the school. Any insight/opinion you could offer would be greatly appreciated, and thank you so much for taking the time to read this!</p>

<p>Essays: They were decent. I thought a few parts in particular were a bit funny, but I'm not some amazing author or anything. I'd rather not post the subjects since that's a bit too easy to trace on the Internet, but my main one was about my black belt test.</p>
<p>Teachers Recs: Good, I think? The teachers liked me, but one wrote about how nice I was, which while I really appreciate, am unsure if that will penalize me or not.</p>

-Woman engineer, Jewish, black belt, Missouri? (Would that harm or help me?)</p>
