Chance me at Stanford!

Hello everyone! I feel like it’s incredibly unrealistic to even consider Stanford, but it’s worth a shot.

SAT: 1550 (1 try)
ACT: 33 (1 try, NOT submitting because uh yikes)
GPA, W: 4.35
GPA, UW: 3.90 (a LOT of B+s/A-s junior years mostly due to calculus agh, but NOTHING below a B+)
APs: U.S. History (5) Statistics (4). I’m taking Studio Art, Bio, and Calc AB this May, too.

Key Club Secretary
MUN Secretary
Film Club President
National Honors Society
I’ve worked part-time since I was a freshman
I’ve done a LOT of film and art/photography work, and have gotten regional and some national recognition
Science Olympiad for like 5 years
dance for like 11 years lol

I’m a pretty good essay writer, and I know my recs will be strong since I have strong relationships with my teachers. I’m planning on majoring in biochem, and I just got an internship at a lab for this summer. Is there anything else I should do? Should I take SAT subject tests to raise my chances a little?

The admission rate for Stanford this yer was 4.3%. You can calculate your chances.
And its the National Honor Society. There is no “s”

Just so you’re aware, you have to submit all ACT and SAT scores (so your “bad” ACT score has to be submitted whether you like it or not). Have you done them with writing? They require that. Stanford superscores all of your test scores and will only really look at/consider your highest score, so you shouldn’t have to worry since your SAT score is a 1550.

Also, a 33 is a great score. Don’t act like it’s not.

95% of Stanford applicants are rejected for admission. In that group are a lot of well qualified applicants.

Really, your chances of being accepted are like everyone else’s…just apply and see.

Can you afford Stanford?

Reach.

I think a lot of B+’s junior year will hurt.

What is your career goal?
