<p>Working with 3.4 GPA (unweighted) 2100 SAT (760CR, 680M, 660W) 30 ACT (34M, 32E - you can imagine what I got in science and reading) top 15%, IB Diploma program, good EC's, very good essays, good recs with great supplemental material (extended essay and rec), jewish.</p>
<p>Oh man, it's either a good match or almost safety. If your saying that your essays are good then you should be fine, UChicago likes kids with great essays. GPA isn't everything. You have a good shot. I have a friend who works in UChicago admission's office so trust me you are Uchicago material.</p>
<p>With a 3.4 GPA, you can't expect to be accepted. Yes, the essays make a greater difference at Univ of Chicago than any other place in the country--but then a lot of great essay writers apply for just that reason. </p>
<p>Unless yours is absolutely exceptional, I don't see an acceptance--sorry.</p>
