As you can see, I’ve been to three different high schools so it was hard for me to be consistent. Chance me please!

Interesting. Why all the different high schools, if you don’t mind my asking? It’s unusual to see this level of academic performance associated with that level of variability in your education.

Also, sorry if I missed but what admission plan are you applying under - ED, EA RD?

My dad lost his job, then found another a year and a half later- just bad luck :(. Early action!

Did you move? Your explanation makes sense for one change but not for two unless I’m missing something. This will needs to be explained thoroughly in your application.

School 1- South Florida, School 2- Baltimore, School 3- North Florida. I will be more detailed when actually applying, don’t worry

EA had very low odds in the previous cycle but it’s not clear how or whether that will repeat. Most likely will be lower odds than ED but not sure by how much. Very difficult to know your chances to begin with and with the lack of detail surrounding the change in schools that makes it harder still to form any sort of meaningful opinion from an outside perspective. You understand that this will need to be explained so that’s good. Most of your achievements are baked into the cake so focus on writing some outstanding essays in order to maximize your chances. Good luck - you have a lot going for you!

Why is changing high schools bad? Unless its a forced exit, it should not matter, should it?

One of them was in the middle of the year. Both were unexpected. It’s hard to be consistent when you have to start over multiple times. My family isn’t military so it was especially unexpected. Plus, it sucks to move

I could certainly see the school changes as a positive. First, to help you stand out. Second, and more importantly, to show your grit and resolve.

With your stats and experience, is Chicago a reasonable option? I think so. Do you need plenty of matches and safeties? Yes. Consider UC like an Ivy, a reach for almost everybody.

Assuming a change is not the result of disciplinary action, the biggest downside is that your teachers writing the rec. letters wouldn’t know you as well. The experience can certainly make for some interesting essays.
