I don’t know much about UMCP admission. Admission to Schreyer at Penn State cannot be predicted, as it is based on a combination of factors: grades (not SAT/ACT), answers to the Schreyer application essays, recommendations, interviews, and other intangibles. You do have a good chance of regular admission to PSU UP as long as you submitted your complete application by the priority date (11/30).
What county in Maryland are you from? Do you attend a large public, small public, or private school? That will play a role with UMD because competition in-state is so great these days…
I attend a large I attend a large public school in Montgomery County MD.(15 minutes away from UMD)
I also attend an MCPS high school and applied to UMD. From what I’ve heard (maybe you’ve heard the same), UMD really likes MCPS kids and so the acceptance rate for them tends to be higher. Your GPA and ACT are a bit low, but the whole Montgomery County thing plus the number of AP/IB classes you’ve taken should help you out. I think you have a decent chance of getting in. Don’t know anything about Penn State though, sorry
