Hi, I am a current senior wondering about my chances of getting into UVM. Here is some of my info:
Sophmore year: AP World History, honors english
Junior: AP Language, AP Human Geography, Honors history, Spanish 4
Senior: AP Government, AP Language, AP Spanish
I have 4 years of math and sciences.

My school is competitive and I have an unweighted GPA of 3.3. My SAT score is 1210 but I am taking it again October 6th and feel more confident than I did the first time on raising my score.

My main extracurricular is Model UN but I am a president of two clubs and dabble in a lot of other clubs. I am also an officer of leadership honor society and a member of english honor society. People from my school with similar statistics have gotten in but have also not gotten in! So I’m very confused as to where I stand.I am applying with an interest in political communications/government.

Any advice or truth would be great!

You clearly have taken some tough academic courses- great job! It is important to keep in mind that UVM does a holistic review of applications- it is not just about your GPA and SATs! UVM does look at those, but they also look for students that are engaged in their community and are leaders.

You have a pretty good chance of getting in. Plus UVM accepts a lot of out of state students as well, so your chances are still as good no matter where you live.
