Chance Me At University Of Virginia?

<p>Hi! I am currently a rising senior and have fallen in love with U.VA. It is my top choice and I plan on applying to enter in the fall of 2015. I am aware that University Of Virginia is a reach given my GPA and my out of state status, but I was wondering just how much of a reach it is.
GPA: 4.17/5 weighted and 4.25/5 unweighted
Class Rank: my school does not rank
I go to a very competitive high school which was recently ranked in the top 20 of the nation.
SAT Score: 2190 (retaking in November, aiming to break a 2200)
SAT Subject Tests: Spanish- 800, French- 750, Literature- 700
(I consider myself someone who is good with languages and I hope this shines through in my application)</p>

<p>I am Hispanic, and I am fluent in Spanish and Catalan as well as English.
I will be the first person in my family to attend an American undergraduate school.</p>

<p>My school does not offer many APs to juniors, but I took AP Spanish and I got a 5 on the exam.
As a senior I will be taking AP French, AP Psychology, and I will be a teachers assistant for my old AP Spanish class.</p>

<p>Extracurriculurs: first flute in my school's Jazz Band, member of my school's Concert Band, I have worked at a local ice cream store and a local restaurant, I have interned at a local company that coaches people in the art of public speaking, and I have offered my services to homeless families whos first language is Spanish (tutoring their children in their native language, helping the adjust to American high school, etc) </p>

<p>In school I am a member of the Key Club (community service club), I was also selected to mentor for middle school children transitioning to the high school, and I interacted closely with a middle school student in a club called 'Middle School Outreach', targeted at talking about bullying, diversity, etc. </p>

<p>Honors: Received a $1000 scholarship from my school to continue my study of languages in college (and I plan to spend this money towards a semester abroad!), and I also received a silver medal on my performance in the National Spanish Exam. I was also selected to go on my school's French Exchange program!</p>

<p>Recommendation Letters: I expect that these will be very good, as they are coming from teachers who I have worked very closely with. </p>

<p>I hope I haven't forgotten anything and I'm sorry this is so long, but thank you for taking the time to read and comment if you do!</p>

<p>I think you have a great chance but you still need to find a safety that you are confident you’ll get into. </p>
