Definitely incorrect. Cornell and Brown accept far less transfer students that Northwestern. The ivies only accept transfer students based on retention rate (which is typically 98% or higher) and any errors they made in making the freshmen class too small.

Brown will be the largest reach as it accepts the least number transfers, with around 10% acceptance rate. On average, Brown students are also academically higher stats wise than at Cornell

Cornell accepts the most transfers with around 22% acceptance rate - however, this number includes those students that applied as freshmen who were guaranteed transfer sophomore year if they did well. In reality the transfer rate is most likely somewhere around 10% as well.

Finally, northwestern will be the easiest with a transfer rate of just under 20%.

That being said, all of the schools listed will be difficult to get into. Ivies obviously have the largest selection pool when it comes to transfers and usually pick people with flawless HS + college records. Other top schools, such as NU, will tend to be more lenient with HS grades.

SAT- 2100
I am planning on taking the SAT 2’s for Math 1 and language.

I know I didn’t do well freshman year, but I was told that Cornell likes seeing upward trends in GPA’s.

Im going there this summer for 6 weeks. Will that hep? Im hoping to get close with a professor during my program and maybe he will write me a college recommendation.
