For the record I've done ED for Cal Poly SLO in hopes that it raises my odds (I know I'm a bit off of target). The schools I'm mainly looking at are SLO, UC Davis, UC Santa Cruz, University of Washington and University of British Columbia.

Math: Algebra II, Geometry, Precalc, Calculus AB AP
Sciences: Physics, Biology, Chemistry
History all 4 years
English all 4 years, three of which have been honors/AP
Many electives but I'm pressed for time so I can't list them all

Just curious, how is your weighted GPA lower than unweighted? Anways, I think you are definitely in UCSC. Depending on your ECs, or if you can manage to take the SAT/ACT again, I’d say you have a decent shot at Davis, UW, and SLO. Good luck!

It’d be great if you could answer my questions:

Sorry for the mixup in the OP, I meant my unweighted was 3.38 and my weighted was 3.54. I do realize it’s a bit low, but as long as I get into UCSC I’m happy. I’ll chance you guys back to the best of my abilities and will do the same to any other replies who want one!

Major is Computer Science. I know the scores on the ACT are a bit low in mathematics but I’ve got supplemental stuff that I think will compensate. Those range from taking a Computer Science AP class to attending an alternative campus for half the day where I do more technology-based things (e.g. websites, audio production, animations) instead of typical schooling. I’ve also got an app on the Android market published for a Berkeley PhD and is getting lots of funding money to advance the project. I’ve been able to talk about all of this in my UC app so I think it will help pick up the low scores.

You’re in UCSC and I think UW. If you play up the benefits of your alternate schooling and extracurriculars enough, I think you’ll have a good chance at the others. And ED at SLO should help. Good luck!
