Greetings. What would my chances be of getting into Wharton, Stern, any Ivy League, Ivey AEO, Rotman, and Queen’s Commerce with the following stats:
Weighted GPA (excluding gym, family studies, and art, which were all mandatory and taken in grade 9, although I did take grade 9 art in grade 10 but it balanced out because I had taken grade 10 computer science in grade 9): 4.22
UW GPA: 3.7
FIRST SEMESTER GRADE 12 GPA: 4.75 W, 4.0 UW
ECs:
-Likely top 10% of stock traders in Ontario out of 2100+ participants in DECA’s Stock Market Game (I’m already in the top 8%)
-Worked for two years as an AT, demonstrating responsibility, initiative, and contributed positively to the learning and personal growth of struggling students
-200 volunteer hours, demonstrating responsibility, some leadership, and initiative in a youth partisan organization
-BETA camp, a selective business, technology, and entrepreneurship program, demonstrating leadership skills and business acumen in creating an actual startup from scratch
-Two weeks at a Yale summer camp in which I demonstrated leadership in creating and pitching a business to a group of real investors
-Certificate for the completion of a non-credit capital markets course from the University of Geneva which covered numerous aspects of investing and financial markets
-Won numerous awards and medals in Kumon, a highly rigorous after school math program, and have received the honor roll every year for 7 years
-Received first class honours every year in Spirit of Math
-As my school didn’t offer AP stats, I chose to take a for-credit business stats course at McMaster, which could show initiative in a way?
-Will do the DELF exam, which is the most renowned French standardized test
My school only offers two APs, one for advanced functions (which I’m currently taking) and one for calculus. I‘m pretty confident I’ll get a 96% in advanced functions and roughy the same for calculus. I also project to get roughly the same mark for Econ.
I attend the third best public school in my city that’s also ranked very highly on Waterloo’s list of schools in terms of grade adjustment factor, which is calculated by averaging out the difference between the high school average of all of the students who were admitted into Waterloo from a particular school by their average in their first year of Waterloo.
Thank you in advance.
