Your grades and test scores make you competitive. Being class president senior year is great. Your other ECs don’t sound too exciting and don’t give a clear picture of what you’re interested in (I hate using the words “passionate about”). This is pretty evident in your potential choices of majors and minors that are pretty disparate.

If you were trying to be quirky in the above passage, I didn’t get it (reason for what interest?). I found the word choices to be poor so I hope if you’re taking this approach in your essays, you make sure you get some feedback on them before you hit submit. Also, saying you’re an “outgoing introvert” is not catchy or thought provoking. It just seems non-sensical.

I’m sure you’re probably an interesting, bright kid. Work on getting your message across and be more focused on what you are looking to achieve in college and what you bring to the party. Good luck!

reason for interest as in business and biology or engineering. it’s really difficult to find something that i am “passionate” about because i have an array of interests. i always thought doing something that brought together the world of left brain minds and right minds would be cool, for example researching cell regeneration and turnover, implementing it into a beauty product, and then marketing it as groundbreaking cosmetics. i know it’s not the most unprecedented idea, but i think it’s rad. different folks, different stokes. in general, i’m a well-rounded person, extremely open minded, and enjoy creating things as i said before. it can filming a video, setting up a pep rally, building a float, etc. and i didn’t use outgoing introvert as a means of sounding witty; it’s just something that i identify myself with. i’d love to go into deeper about the nuances of who i am, but thanks for the constructive criticism. i definitely need a little more time in soul searching.
