Chance me! (Cornell ED, Cal, UCLA, Georgia Tech, USC)

Hey everyone, thanks for doing this. I’m a rising senior, and I want the high/low reach/match/safety chancing for the following schools (all computer science):
Cornell ED (idk if that matters, but the percent accepted is higher for early decision), Cal, Ucla, UCSD, Georgia tech, USC,
UIUC, UMich, Northwestern, Harvey Mudd

GPA: 3.86 (UW), 4.27 (W) (weak)
Class Rank: 4/70
SAT: 2270 (800 M, 770 CR, 700 W, 9 Essay) single sitting, I just took another test today, hopefully broke 2300
SAT Subject Tests: haven’t taken but expecting 800 M2 and low 700s for Physics. Should I take another one like USH?

ECs:

(These are assuming I participate as planned senior year)
Varsity Golf (4 Years), Captain , Set school record in tournament play
Varsity Soccer (4 Years)
Odyssey of the Mind World Finalist (4 Years), balsa wood structure builder (structural engineering)
Working on a research project with a team, sending a Microlab project to the ISS through SpaceX, I’m the head software engineer so it ties into the Computer Science aspect (2 Years)
National Honors Society (2 Years)
Science Bowl (2 Years)
60 Hours of Community Service
Participated in COSMOS Computer Science Last summer (pretty selective summer enrichment program)

Coursework:

Freshman Year: no weighted available at my school, but I took all honors courses available
Sophomore Year: Again, took all honors courses available. Opted to not AP World History
Junior Year: AP Physics C Mechanica, Ap Calculus AB (school doesn’t offer BC), AP US History, AP Language and Composition
Senior Year: AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism, AP Statistics, AP Macroeconomics, AP Microeconomics, AP Literature and Composition

Also taking CS61 (Intro CS class) at UC Berkeley, taking it for a letter grade :open_mouth:

So anyway, thanks for going over this, please chance me

Bump

Cornell: high reach
Cal: reach
UCLA: low reach/match
GTech: reach
USC: low reach/match

please chance me! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1782805-chance-me-mit-harvard-penn-caltech-osu-umich.html#latest

Cornell: Low Reach/HIgh Match (since they don’t look at writing your scores are perfect)
Cal, Low Reach
Ucla, Match
UCSD, Safety
Georgia tech, Low Match
USC, Match
UIUC, Match
UMich, Match
Northwestern, High Match (again they do not look at writing so your scores are virtually perfect)
Harvey Mudd: Reach

This is my opinion.

Definitely try for the 800 in Math 2 and Physics I would also try to get as close to 800 as possible. The curve is big, and if you know your stuff you should be able to do it. I just took USH and it is a pretty hard subject test. It is supposedly significantly harder than the AP exam. Unless you know your USH very well, and remember a lot from the class you just took, I would say skip it and focus on other stuff.

Good Luckk

If you do well at CS61, you get a good chance. All the UCs on your list, are matches or low reaches. None of them are safety, unless they are high school students chancing you.

Do you have any hooks?

I would definitely focus on your CS-related ECs in your applications.

Cornell ED: Reach
Cal: Low Reach
UCLA: High Match
Georgia Tech: Match
USC: High Match/Low Reach
UIUC: Match
UMich: Match
Northwestern: Low Reach/Reach
Harvey Mudd: Reach
