So, this is basically my choices.
Depaul (#1 choice) This is pretty much the one I want to get chanced on, I don’t care that much about the others.
ISU (safety)
NYU (Far far far reach)
USC (I’d get to mars before I got accepted there)
Here’s what my life work has summed up to in High School:
UW GPA: 2.6
W GPA: 2.75
ACT: 23 (I got an 11 on the writing)
Rank: 193 of 490 (Top 40%)
Extracurricular: President and secretary of environmental club, vice president of history club, freshman sophomore class (we do the blood drive and take care of class events), Junior class (basically prom committee), Speech, Drama makeup chair, treasurer of GSA, copy editor of yearbook as well as a designer, opinions editor for newspaper, mock trial and chess.
Volunteer/other things: I’ve volunteered for the last two years to help with local town events, I’ve represented my local library as a speaker at a national library convention in Chicago for teen readers, and I go to a church group where we do other volunteer acts like building houses for the less fortunate. I also wrote a full length novel which may get published soon and has had over 40K people read the rough draft.
AP course load: AP US History (3), AP Psychology (3), and AP Lang (3). I’m taking AP Lit now. (There’s only 7 AP courses offered at my school).
Freshman year I took all honors classes, sophomore year only two, and then pretty much an honors class or two because I took all AP my junior year.
I got a good councilor recommendation and I’m expected to get two stellar teacher recommendations. My essays were also amazing for Depaul.
So, do you think I have a shot?
