i have a unique background. I didnt go to school from grades 4-8. instead, i was sent to a religious institution to become a leader. During this time frame, I only devoted a max of 2 hrs to school everyday. thats why my grades as well as course rigor slowly increase as time went on.

chances for DUKE, UMich, WashU, Johns hopkins, Dartmouth, Brown?

You have a solid chance for UMich, WashU, and Johns Hopkins. I would say Duke, Dartmouth and Brown are more reaches, but you are definitely a solid candidate!

Where is your home state? What is your intended major? And what is your uwGPA?
I can’t give you chance without these. However, your ACT is below admission average of UMich as they don’t superscore.

@rifraf In that case, in state applying to LSA with GPA 3.85 and ACT 31 would be a match for you at UMich.
Brown, JHU, and Duke would be reaches.

Your numbers/courseload are okay, but nothing seems to really stand out except your background circumstances. If you devote an essay to that, then you’ll have a wonderful chance at these schools. Good luck!

I don’t think it matters that your big brother & big sister were part of the high school mentor program for 2 years. the colleges really want to see your development over the years, not theirs.

You’ll get into michigan, but probably only one of the others at best

Give up on Ivy League schools. They definitely do not subscore the ACT and your score is low for Ivies. Scores are the first thing they look at and you should look up some articles about Asians needing higher scores to get in.

Update: I got a 770 on the physics subject test and a 740 on the bio m subject test.
So my SAT 2s are:
math 2:770
Physics:770
Chem:750
Bio M:740
