<p>Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools, Number Sense Team Member [10th, 11th, 12th]
This is my main EC. Students compete against other Texas private or religious schools in mental mathematics. During practices, team members discuss problem-solving strategies and exchange shortcuts to acquire higher scores in the timed math exams.</p>

<p>Habitat for Humanity Club (Member) [11th]
A surprisingly important EC, despite its length.
Students, in teams, undertake a semester-long project that involves researching a foreign country's substandard housing conditions (for my team, Mozambique), writing a paper on the findings, providing the blueprints for a house similar to those found in the respective countries, gathering construction material from local donations, building the house on school grounds, and then making a video of the whole project.
*I performed the research and put the video together.</p>

Students learn to raise and operate businesses and acquire funds for senior scholarships.</p>

<p>**Not sure if they're worth mentioning:</p>

Didn't do much here. Students acquire physical training, show up to drills, and learn strategies.</p>
<p>Book Club (Member) [12th]
Students discuss biographical works like "Kaffir Boy" and "I Am Malala."</p>
