----What do you spend your time outside of school doing?----
12-15 hrs/week goes into sports all year round: XC in summer/fall, swim in winter, and distance track in spring
Ran Broad Street Run & participates in various neighborhood 5ks
Teaches me teamwork and mental & physical endurance
4 hrs/week go into organizing Hands to Hearts
4hrs/week go into preparing for Science Olympiad and organizing the team for upcoming competitions
3hrs/week go into preparation for DECA competition & other events
2 hrs/week to Student Council → meeting after-school, creating posters, ad-ing, etc.
I have also spent time creating a business concept for the Diamond Challenge with a previous DECA project partner. This has taught me collaboration, effective use of knowledgeable resources, and how to effectively use the lean model canvas.
Used this to launch the club I have run for 2 years, Hands to Hearts, into a non-profit and spread into to other schools
Networking through Youth Leadership Program hosted by the Chester County Chamber, which allowed me to connect with ambitious students & business leaders.
My internship has also allowed me to work closely with entrepreneurs and learn skills I want to emulate one day.
I love spending free time creating: painting or drawing are my favorite hobbies, and this is mirrored by art electives and AP Art.
