Hi! I’m looking to apply ED to Penn’s M&T program and possibly to Wharton as well ED. Also looking into Berkeley’s MET, Carnegie Mellon’s Tepper School of Business, MIT Sloan, Stanford, Harvard, and NYU Stern.

Summer Internship - helping local entrepreneurs launch businesses through a mentoring organization founded and funded by the creator of Integra Life Sciences. Very broad experience with far-ranging companies (sustainability, education, jewelry, water innovation, fitness) & for 3 months.

----What do you spend your time outside of school doing?----
12-15 hrs/week goes into sports all year round: XC in summer/fall, swim in winter, and distance track in spring
Ran Broad Street Run & participates in various neighborhood 5ks
Teaches me teamwork and mental & physical endurance
4 hrs/week go into organizing Hands to Hearts
4hrs/week go into preparing for Science Olympiad and organizing the team for upcoming competitions
3hrs/week go into preparation for DECA competition & other events
2 hrs/week to Student Council → meeting after-school, creating posters, ad-ing, etc.
I have also spent time creating a business concept for the Diamond Challenge with a previous DECA project partner. This has taught me collaboration, effective use of knowledgeable resources, and how to effectively use the lean model canvas.
Used this to launch the club I have run for 2 years, Hands to Hearts, into a non-profit and spread into to other schools
Networking through Youth Leadership Program hosted by the Chester County Chamber, which allowed me to connect with ambitious students & business leaders.
My internship has also allowed me to work closely with entrepreneurs and learn skills I want to emulate one day.
I love spending free time creating: painting or drawing are my favorite hobbies, and this is mirrored by art electives and AP Art.

Really impressive! I got great business ECs, but they’re no match for what you have. Congrats! Scores and GPA look great - I could only wish for that SAT score… :frowning: Only concern is that for M&T you don’t really have much STEM-related going for you. Maybe consider LSM/NHCM or something similar? I’m probably doing Huntsman #1 with Wharton #2. Anyways, chances are great for Wharton, other schools you’re def competitive. Good luck from a fellow Indian!! lol

Wow! Test scores and GPA look really impressive, and your extracurriculars are dazzling. You have put yourself in a position to be highly competitive at all of the schools you’re applying to. Best of luck, and I look forward to seeing your application on an accepted results thread sometime soon

Thank you so much for the replies @StandingFish and @aneeshs17 !! Hearing others’ thoughts is so helpful. I agree that I’m a little lacking on the STEM side, and I’m hoping to work on it a little in the next few months. And @aneeshs17, I’ve considered Huntsman a little bit, perhaps I’ll look into it more! I love the idea of international business and travel (esp when I’m young), but the engineering and business mix is something I’d really want to get into. Maybe we’ll see each other at Penn eventually fingers crossed ;))
