You have a really good chance at Columbia if you apply ED. Harvard… Yale…need I say more? You will probably get into BU, UCB, and Tufts is a high but not sure possibility. I don’t know much about Carnegie to comment, sorry!

Please Chance me back! http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1769031-what-are-my-chances-at-these-schools-p2.html
You will need to read through the comments cause I got a 31 on ACT and I added some colleges (BostonU, UTAustin, Northeastern)

Thank you @tomatoes124 ! Just chanced back

I think you have a great shot at Columbia ED! The ED is more forgiving, and your stats and GPA are really high. Coupled with your unique ECs and hook, I think you have a good chance. Just write those essays and I’m sure it’ll be great. You will probably also be good for the schools that aren’t ivies on your list (who knows for the other ivies? it’s a crap shoot).

You have a good chance at Columbia, others are too but they are definitely reaches still. Good essays will be key!

Chanced back! @ptkid16 Thanks for the feedback! Also, does anyone think that it will hurt me that my ACT Essay is so low compared to my composite? Believe me, I’m happy with the 35, but not so happy that my combined english/writing is now a 31…

You have really great stats and EC’s, but the school’s you’re looking at have so many other people applying with the same stats, try to really set yourself apart and show your character through your essay, show lots of early interest, etc. Columbia ED sounds like you have a pretty good chance, Brown is also probably a pretty good chance, BU is a safety, you will most likely get into Tufts and Carneigie Mellon, and UCB, Harvard and Yale are reaches for everybody.

You’re a competitive candidate at any school, but the Ivy’s are in a class of their own, you have a high chance of getting into at least one ivy, but probably more, best of luck to you!!

Wow! Your scores and GPA are great! I, like other previous commenters, would say STRESS YOUR UNIQUENESS! Most likely you will try to accomplish this through your essays. ED shows that you really love Columbia, and hopefully they will love you back! I also think that BU is a safety and CMU and Tufts are matches, but you should get in. You should also have more than a good shot at Berkeley and Brown. I think the thing you should now work on (as soon as they go online, if they haven’t already) is essays!

Your ECs and scores are both excellent and show a great amount of passion and talent. I think you certainly have a good shot at Columbia, especially with ED. While you’re certainly qualified for schools like Harvard, Yale, Brown, ect, they’re always a reach just by nature of admissions. I think BU, Carnegie Mellon, Tufts, and Berkley are also very much in your range. Good luck!

Thanks so much for the feedback @vellichor and @WellOkay ! I’ll be sure to follow the advice. I actually already wrote my common app essay at least, but I think I might try out some of the other prompts as well. @NEF2016 just chanced back!

You have a good chance. Your extracurriculars are very strong as well as your ACT score. Also, being ranked number one out of 300 is a very prestigious statistic that will be significant to most universities.

Can you please chance me as well? Thanks

You don’t have a great chance for Columbia, even ED, but b/c it’s Columbia. But you have a really, really reasonable chance. The Ivies are high reaches, but again you’re a competitive applicant. You’ll get into BU, Tufts, Carnegie Mellon, and Berkeley most likely. Berkley’s harder OOS.
