Essay:
- My guidance counselor said it was one of the best he's ever read.
- I wrote it on the time my father hit me. I wrote it as a story; has an elaborate and skillful use of language and punctuation, and clearly illustrates my biggest hardship, elaborates on its affect on my schooling, my dedication to escaping, my transformation from a victim to a survivor, etc...
- In my extended information section I wrote a general synopsis on my struggles at home to re-affirm my essay.
- I think it juxtaposes with my extra currics in a very positive way.
- My recommendations work very nicely with my essay and reiterate key themes.

also applying to BU, Fordham, NYU, and UW- Seattle.

Thanks,

According to CollegeBoard the middle 50% ACT range is 28-32
Your 30 puts you right in the middle.
My advice is to just stay focus and do your best on the rest of your application like essays and recommendations. Your ECs look fine but try to make sure you present yourself in the best light possible. Remember you only get one chance
I think you have a decent shot, but then again who am I?
Is Boston College your first choice? Well good luck!
