Hi, I saw you comment that you got accepted in the BA/DDS program at NYU. I’m also interested in doing that also. Can you give me a brief description of the application process there? Do you have to first get accepted to the college and then try to get in the program or do you just directly apply to the program? Also how hard is it to get into the program? Thank you^^

@dlee627 It’s fairly easy to apply. Just select “Pre-Professional Dental and Joint BA/DDS Program with the College of Dentistry” as your CAS major. You directly apply to the program, so there is no separate application for the dental program. Also, I have no idea how hard it is to get in, but i believe around 20 people get accepted every year. No idea regarding how many people actually apply to the program.

Dang, only 20? It must be really hard. Thank you for your reply! Also congratulations!

Wait, one more question. Do I have to apply ED for the Joint program?

@dlee627 Thank you! You do not need to apply ED to the program, the vast majority of people get into the program through regular decision. And also, I wouldn’t stress about only 20 or so people getting in, not that many people apply to the program (i think).

Just in case I get rejected from the joint program, is it possible to apply both the joint program and as a regular chemistry major?

@dlee627 I believe so, since at NYU you can apply to multiple programs.
