Also, any safety school suggestions

What do you want us to say?

If I stand as a good applicant. My counselor tells me these would be semi-safety, but I don’t really believe him…

Hey great stats…and I love your ECs! Definitely work on bumping that ACT a few points if at all possible. I think your ECs are actually a real strong suit for you and will make you stand out in the engineering world…make sure your essay(s) are really great (well written and thoughtful…your Peru trip should provide you with a lot to write about). I think Lehigh/Bucknell would be lucky to have you quite honestly. Some suggestions for other good engineering programs (I work at an engineering company and am involved in recruiting primarily MechEs): Univ of Delaware, Lafayette, Stevens Institute of Tech, RPI (the location isn’t the best but great program and well known throughout the Northeast US), Rutgers (again not my favorite campus but well known Engineering program in the NE). I think you have a bright future young man. Best of luck…just bone up on your ACT for the next test and try to get a few points (33 ideally).

I’d say Lehigh is the better of the two for MechEng and I’d say you can definitely get in to both. I’d recommend applying RPI as it can offer you a better program and more prestigious degree than both. Not that it’s a primary thing, but one thing to consider as a side-note is that early salary for RPI is higher than both also.

You can easily improve your reading score for the ACT, and these schools would be safeties. You can even aim for more competitive schools.
