Would also be great if odds for ed vs rd were given

Duke and upenn look like reaches as your app looks like nothing special and carnegie mellon looks like a target

@JackM8 all of these schools are reaches. CMU is not overall such a high reach for undergrad, but SCS is very very tough to get in.
Penn and Duke are both reaches of course. The cognitive and computer science at Penn is in general even harder to get into than Penn overall, as is the case with any Penn dual degree program.

would ed make any of them soft reaches @Penn95

To clarify the school I attend is ranked in the top 90 in the nation on niche

@JackM8 I don’t think any of them could be seen as soft reaches for ED for anyone but the tippy top perfect candidates. However, ED definitely will boost your chances. Pretty sure all of these schools give a significant boost to ED applicants. I know for sure Penn definitely does give a very significant boost, it admits 55% of its class ED. Duke admits about 50% if it’s class ED.

For CMU you specify first and second choice of admission by college/program. SCS is highly selective at 7% (2017-2018). I do believe that ED and expressed interest (will you schedule a campus tour and a face-to-face admissions interview) will certainly not hurt.
