I'm an Asian female from California, planning on going into biostatistics / applied math, so I would major in applied math or double major in biology also...which all these schools have (NOT in order of interest):

Carnegie mellon

UC Berkeley

UT Austin

UCLA

UCSD

NYU

University of Washington
(do not have the official transcript but should be pretty close)
10-11th grade GPA: 4.2 weighted
Total weighted GPA: 4.1
Total unweighted GPA: 3.6-3.7

I tansfered to US high school at the second semester of sophomore year.
Junior GPA is terrible...I took 5 APs and 1 honor and got 3 Bs 3 As and 1 C....
AP includes USHis, Bio, Phys, Calc BC, Chinese, Stats
will include Micro, US gov, Lit in my senior year
Honors: AG Calc, honor Eng III
I have an upward trend in terms of weighted GPA
I have no idea about my AP scores...
Class rank is probably somewhere 10-15% (500+)
I;m taking college course ECON 100 and expect an A

ACT: 32 might be higher

Extracurriculars:
- Principle Oboe player at school, section leader
- Safeway working experience for 4 months
- Nursing experience at senior house
- Senior house volunteering for 100+ hrs
- Chinese culture club, leader in large events
- Math contests (math club, Pacific and Atlantic, Stanford Math Tournament, AMC)
- Talent for music dance and art (Piano 13 years, Oboe 10 years, Ballet 8 years)
- Tennis 6years
- FOMF 2014 and school got the first place

Assume my recommendations are pretty good and I do have reasons for the low junior unweighted GPA.
My dad was discovered that he had cancer..and this really distracted me from focusing on study..plus taking 5 APs is terrible.

Any chance will be gladly accepted and I will be glad to chance back.
Thank you so much~
