Chance me for CMC Please?

Hi! I was just wondering what people thought my chances would be if I applied to CMC ED next fall.

Ethnicity/Gender: White, female
GPA: My school doesn’t calculate this, but I have all As except for one B+ in Honors Chemistry. We don’t calculate rank either, but I’m close to the top according to my college counselor.
SAT I: 2210 Superscore (680 M/770 CR/760 W)
SAT IIs: 780 USH, waiting for Math I, Math II and Spanish

Will probably take ACT in september as well.

APs: Took AP Human Geo, APUSH and AP Lang (not the class just the exam) this year, waiting on scores.
-My school only allows juniors and seniors to take APs and we are limited in number, which is why I don’t have many. I’ve taken almost all the honors courses available.
Teacher recs will be very good- the two teachers I asked know me very well.

Extracurriculars:
Founder & President of Mental health awareness club- organized charity event which raised $2000+
Member of Amnesty International Student Group for all 4 years & will be leader for senior year
Photography Editor for School Newspaper in 11, Editor-in-Chief for 12
Model UN 10, 11, 12
Writing Fellow (Tutor) 11, 12
Heavily involved in the theatre department for all 4 years- takes up most of my time
-have performed and stage managed, danced in dance shows and do lots of work for the department
Peer counselor with national mental health organization- 11, 12
Volunteering at an animal shelter- 11, 12
Honors Arts Seminar (special by-application class for juniros and seniors)

Unique Experience: I didn’t know if this counts as an extracurricular but I was involved in an international project for peace and collaboration that revolved around theatre for almost the entirety of 11th grade- it was with German and American students.

Awards
silver medal on National Spanish Exam 9, 10, and 11 (Levels 2, 3, and 4 respectively)
Young Woman Leadership Award from community organization

I’ve also taken a bunch of college classes online.

I have toured and done an info session, will interview later in the summer.
Thanks!!! If you chance me I will chance back.

You are certainly a wonderful candidate. If I had to guess, I’d say more likely accept than reject, possibly deferred. One never knows in college admissions, but you are well within the range of admitted students ‘quantitatively’ and it seems like your ECs are solid too. Write stellar essays and your odds will be great. Best of luck!

Thank you! I really appreciate you replying to my thread

Hi, I’ve just seen you comment on a number of my threads so I decided to give you a lengthy reply here.

Overall gist is that your application looks very solid- yes, I know the struggles of Honors Chem being the only weak subject- and test scores aren’t even a problem. Your AP scores can certainly be a factor, so it’ll be nice to know how you did to get a better picture, but overall academically you are STRONG.

Extracurriculars- I’d be lucky to even get close to $2000 with the club I started, which only has raised $700 (albeit successfully fully funding a water facility in India). I’m really into theatre so I love that you have that on there as well- the cool thing that you have that most people including me don’t is that program with the German Americans in theatre so I’d really suggest writing about that/stressing it as that is very very nice. Leadership looks solid. College classes look great too.

Great chances here!

@hyungiwosotha thank you! I got my APs recently (should have updated this lol) and received all 5’s which I was beyond ecstatic about

As to the $2000, I can’t say I did it alone- I had so much support from my school community and so many people participated in the charity event which is why it was so successful. The $700 is so impressive, especially for the cause you raised it for!

@yonceonhismouth fellow AP scholar here so congratulations! That just improves your chances!
