I think my interview went pretty well and I have expressed very very strong interest in the school. Im applying ED II but the acceptance rate last year was lower for ED than for overall admissions. I want to go to CMC so bad but im afraid my grades and lack of a sport will keep me out. Thanks for the input!

I forgot to add that I worked at an investment management firm 2 summers ago and my school doesnt rank.

CMC seems to be a school that places a lot of emphasis on standardized test scores. Yours are way above average (~1390). I think you have a pretty good chance of getting in.

hey -- i just got in ED to cmc and i'm one to say that the admissions office is pretty amazing. i didn't have a 1600 or a 4.34735 gpa and i still got in - so i wouldn't really worry about that standarize testing business that that other kidw as talking about. as long as you look like a well-rounded person that wants to go there for good reason, then you should be pretty confident. now, im not saying that you will get in persay, but from my experience the admissions office is pretty good at looking at the entire applicant rather than a few test scores. admittedly, i would say that they wouldn't admit someone with a 1.2 average or a 850 sat but i have know some that go there now with 1100s and 2.7s so as long as you make yourself a desireable person that they can see contributing to the cmc atmosphere, i would stick that application in the mailbox and keep my fingers cross :)

thank u so much u guys, and congrats domirican2005 on getting in!

thanks :) i'm psyched.

My daughter was just accepted with 31 ACT. Her SAT's would have been lower than yours. I agree that they seem to be interested in a well rounded person who is very interested in the school. It also seems to help if you are from out of state.
