If you visited Barnard, interviewed and really liked it, I see ED there as your window of opportunity to possibly become part of the Columbia University Community. Your stats are solidly within Barnard’s middle 50%. Their ED admissions rate is close to 40%, I think.
Otherwise, Columbia College admissions is sort of a mosh pit. Your stats put you near the bottom 25% where you’d be competing against ‘hooked’ applicants. It would be a long shot, as it is for most applicants.
I have a niece who is a recent Columbia College graduate and she recommended Barnard to our daughter. She felt Barnard had better academic support, better housing and more curriculum flexibility. We visited and were very impressed. My daughter also danced with a Columbia College student who said he takes most of his classes at Barnard and would prefer to be a full-fledged student there if it was possible. My D ended up at Brown, but really liked Barnard.
