Random Question:
Should I focus on the essays or retaking the SAT?
Please chance. Thanks!

I think you have a very decent shot, even for Berkeley. You don’t have to deal with race at Cal anymore. Thus, I think a good option is Cal. Would you mind chancing me back? I’m a programmer as well. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1571691-chances-options.html

Make sure your essay is killer for Berkeley else you’ll be lumped into the “just another drone” category.

Probably better than me to be honest! I’m going for Computer Engineering though. Assembly and Verilog seem much more interesting to me.

my gpa is 3.70/4.0 (unweighted). Last year, I got B’s in AP Physics and Honors Chemistry (and im applying for engineering). In my math classes I have all A’s though. Would appreciate if someone could chance these schools, given my low gpa. Thanks.

What is your UC GPA?

UC GPA: 4.08
From my understanding, UC’s only accept 8 semesters of honors classes (so only 8 extra points). Without this restriction my uc gpa is 4.30.
