The UC schools are so odd. It’s hard to tell who’s going to get it and who isn’t. I’ve had a lot of friends go to UCLA and 2 go to Berkeley.

As far as your scores go, obviously you’re outstanding. I would be worried if your essays aren’t anything extraordinary. A LOT of people apply to Berkeley and “who they are” counts a lot towards if they get in or not.

I would say you’ll get in though, it looks like a strong match.

Anecdote time: I had one friend who applied to Berkeley with a 1750 SAT and 3.7 UW GPA. It was a reach school for her and she got in! However, another person with a 4.0 GPA and 2180 SAT got rejected. Nobody knows why, obviously, but it just shows how odd the UC schools are in how they choose.

Good luck! I don’t think you’ll need it, though!

You should submit all your scores to UCs. This is a high match for you and not a match only because of how unpredictable some of these higher tier colleges can be. Good luck!

If you can get someone to take a look at your essays and make sure they’re brilliant, then you’re definitely in. Your entire application sparkles.

I personally do not think I am special enough for schools like Stanford. However, I will be applying for a few high reaches. Thanks for the feedback everyone!
