I'll be applying to Cornell, Dartmouth, UPenn, NYU Stern, USC, UCLA, UC Berkeley, and then possibly HYPS as a shot in the dark, but I already know my chances to those schools.

Background

Gender: Male
Ethnicity: Asian (born in Singapore with Chinese/Vietnamese heritage)
Income: ~400k
High School: I attend a large, fairly competitive public school in Arizona with around 1700 kids, 400 in my graduating class. We usually send a few to the top schools.

Academic

GPA
UW: 3.76
W: 4.25

ACT: 2 attempts because school gave a free one to everyone without writing, then I took the one with writing
First: Comp: 34
E: 33, M: 35, R: 35, S: 32
Second: Comp: 34
E: 34, M: 34, R: 33, S: 35, W: 9
If any of them superscore, they'd see a 35.

SAT: 2100
640 W, 730 M, 730 R, 9 Essay
*** Just took it to see what I would get with no prep at all and an unfinished essay, will it hurt me even if I have a significantly stronger ACT score? Very confident I can reach 2200-2300 if I were to retake it ***

SAT IIs: Plan on taking Biology E/M and Mathematics Level 2 in December

APs: World History, US History, Biology, Calculus AB, Comp/Lit

Taken honors whenever the option was available

Played Guitar for 5 years

Most community service done through the above-mentioned club-sponsored activities, esp. NHS, or as a volunteer tutor

Work Experience:

• Employed on and off as a decorator for specific projects from a local party décor company
• Created a mobile car detail and wash business with my friend for 2 years
• Website designer and recruitment specialist for one of the largest baseball club teams in Arizona
• Property manager for several property homes owned by family
• Created and maintained a website for a local restaurant

The Intangibles:

My letters of recommendation are first my biology teacher, who went to Johns Hopkins and UC Irvine, is incredibly intelligent, and whom I share a lot of values with. She knows me relatively well.
The second is from my medical science and sports medicine teacher, who is also the Vice Mayor of Surprise (a city in the metropolitan Phoenix area). He knows me very well and I'd like to consider him a friend.

I've always considered myself to be an exceptional writer, especially when concerning the widely general prompts they give in the application process, and I'm confident they will be exemplary essays. I've been closely studying "On Writing the College Application Essay" by Harry Bauld as well.

I'd also like to major in something business related as well.

Thanks ahead of time!
