What do you think are my chances? Thank you so much!

Your ECs are good, as is your class rank, but academically, your app is not super impressive when weighed against other applications. If your standardized test scores were higher, you wouldn’t have as high of a reach Furthermore, you’re asian which generally means you’ll have a lower chance. BUT you do have a medium chance. I’d say maybe Brown and Cornell are good colleges for you to apply to.

Sorry! I thought we were talking HYP here. Never mind, I’d say you have a fairly good chance at all the colleges you listed. Good luck!

Hmmm… you are a tough one to chance! It’s rare to see such a high GPA with mediocre test scores. Is your high school competitive?

Anyways–here are my thoughts:
Cornell- mid reach. I think the summer school will help you. If you can bring up your CR score, you should be a solid applicant… but that one score is really hurting you… it would help if your AP scores were a bit higher too.
NYU-low reach–again, if you can get up that CR score I think you are in.
Duke- low-mid reach
Columbia- high reach
Boston U- good shot
BC- low-mid reach-- it’s that one score!!!
Georgetown- mid-high reach

I highly suggest retaking the SAT or trying the ACT. You seem like a really great aplicant and it’s really sad that that one CR score is pulling you app down. Considering your grades and class rank, I’d be surprised if you couldn’t pull up that CR score.

Best of luck! If you can pull that one score up, I think you’ll get into at least 1 or 2 of your reaches! :)

Well, I go to a public high school that is ranked high in Texas. But the thing is, my school has several Valedictorians who have higher SAT scores than me. I just suck at Critical reading so much and my second SAT score was worse over all so Im just waiting for my ACT score to come back on Tuesday.

I really hope I get in someplace… but thanks yall!! and ill chance you back

I don’t feel qualified enough to give you a good chance, but why would Duke be a reach, and Cornell not be? Cornell has a lower acceptance rate…

Duke is a reach for me more than Cornell because i went to Cornell Summer College so it could help me get in. (not by a lot but it could help some)
