<p>I’d say if you’re applying to USC, you should apply for UCLA and Berkeley as well. Arguably better schools and I think you have a shot at both- they value out-of-the-classroom-experience a lot!

<p>is everyone on this site crazy?! lol i think people just chance people so they “chance” them back… no one really has any idea what they are talking about (even me!) but tuna’s “easy matches” are by no means easy matches and are more like reaches… everything is a reach, some higher than others IMO</p>
<p>Well i respect your opinion, but stats wise oxford of emory and USC are hardly reaches. Im in the 90th percentile for SATs and around 50th for GPA and class rank at both of those. Not to mention my course rigor</p>
<p>Ny0rker: FYI: I’m a 2013er and I’m going to UCLA this fall. I was accepted to Cornell, CMU, Michigan, Berkeley, UCLA and Purdue for the US; London School of Economics, Kings College, Warwick and UCL for UK and NUS and NTU for Singapore this year. I’m NOT listing out these to show off or whatever. What I DO intend however is:</p>
<p>1) To tell you that no, sire! I DO NOT want to be chanced back!</p>
<p>2) I have been to through the whole application procedure- and seriously, Carnegie Mellon and USC are VERY overrated IN MY OPINION. I have friends who got into both with very mediocre stats- even as internationals. So, this is my opinion. You, sir, can keep underrating yourself and go apply to a Community College and screw your life!!</p>
<p>So just don’t make baseless assumptions and throw allegations at people, alright? WesthamUnited (you support them?), alright- MAYBE I overrated you going JUST by the stats, but I do think that if you get a solid recommendation and write good essays- you’ll do well- at least in your CMU, UC (UCLA and Berkeley) and USC applications! You might not be the regular-awesome applicant, but you’re awesome in your own way! Good luck to you- and also to Ny0rker! :)</p>
<p>SAT is great, EC’s are great, Course Rigor is great, the GPA is the clincher.
