I think Cornell is a low/mid reach for you b/c of your GPA. Your ECs seem to be relatively strong, but you need to play them off well. If you can raise your SAT scores, it’ll probably be a low reach/high match.

Very informative, thanks!

Is this considering my upward trend/non-freshman GPA?

I heard that a lot of schools don’t consider freshman grades but I’m not sure if Cornell does so. Anyway try getting a 4.0 first semester senior year and you may be fine. Raising SAT scores should still be a top priority.

I will take your advice to heart!
Thanks so much!

I think you have a decent shot, an even better shot if you retake SATS. Right now it’s probably a low-mid reach.

I think you have a shot. Goodluck!

Thanks, I appreciate your opinion.

Bump due to inactivity.

Bumpity bump!

Raise that SAT score from a 630 to a 680 and this goes from being a low reach to a high match. solid other stuff. good luck

Well, your SAT is low like everyone’s been harping about. But, it also depends on what you want to major in- I think if you want to be like a hardcore engineer, they’ll care a little less about a low-ish CR score. Your math is actually really good.

I was thinking biochemistry, do you think that would be along the same lines?

Well, it falls under the scientific category. If you can though, improve the CR either way.

For a biochem major, your bio subject test grade is kinda average. Have you taken an AP bio class before? Or an AP Chem class? I found that after taking AP Bio, the Subject test was pretty easy.

Oh okay, it might be too late for me for the bio. Should I not send in my bio score?

Match. Cornell’s ED acceptance is quite high (relatively).
