What appeals to u about SHA? Strictly based off your ECs it kind of seems like you are better fit for Dyson, and I hear a lot of people apply to SHA as a back door into Cornell and then transfer

@h0191k SHA cares about hospitality experience. More than 80% have hospitality experience. Based on your application, you’re a strong Cornell applicant but not really a strong SHA applicant. For example, I worked in a hotel. I would recommend gaining some hostility exposure before applying

You seem like an excellent fit for Dyson and I think you’ve got a solid shot

Thank you guys all so much! Got it I just really loved the SHA program after watching videos and felt that it might tie in with my marketing but will focus on Dyson! Thank you guys again!

@h0191k if you love it, then im sure u can find a way to tie your experiences to focus on the hospitality aspect :slight_smile: just on the basis of your ecs, you seem super strong in business, but from what i have read, SHA also requires the passion for the hospitality industry whether it be working customer service, at a restaurant/hotel/job shadowing… that’s sort of the case for me , people around me thought i was a wackjob bc my experiences didn’t have the most direct correlation to hospitality, but it’s such a large field you can def link it. i have spoken to a lot of people from cc, guidance counselor, current students and SHA and it seems like that route is just fine. just curious, but what intended major did u apply to stanford with?

Hey! Thank you so much for your insightful comment! Really helped I think I’m better fit for Dyson! I applied as a econ major for Stanford but got rejected haha

I agree that there isn’t anything in your resume that shows a hospitality focus and a match for SHA.

Word of caution about Dyson. It’s the most competitive admission at Cornell. Lower odds than Stanford, so manage your expectations accordingly.

@momofsenior1
love that you are the calming voice of reason on here. Any last thoughts on nutrition in CHE? As far as overall selectivity etc…I’m soooo nervous about tomorrow. It truly is the only college that I can imagine myself in.
