I am also African American living with a single parent in a low income household. Can someone recommend me some safety schools? I am planning to study Biology and minor in Chemistry. Thank you for your time!

Since you’re most likely applying to Cornell’s Arts and Sciences, you’ll be fine. As you already know, the only things holding you back stats-wise are your SAT scores. The rest depends on your essays and how you present yourself as a good student with a passion for multiple interests. That’s the type of student they are looking for.

I know people often request that seniors post their admissions decisions so here is mine: After taking the SAT again and being only to super score 10 points in English, I received admission into Cornell’s College of Arts and Sciences.
