Your chances don’t look to high. Even with high SAT/ACT scores, you’d need something to differentiate you in addition to your current activities, which are very common.

Actually, I respectfully disagree with @kjake2000.

Please note that I am only a high school junior. However, to the best of my knowledge, if you can score above 1570 - Duke’s 75th percentile - on your SAT 1, then your chances should be much higher than the 1 in 4 chance ED applicants can expect. Furthermore, if you score above a 1570 on the SAT 1, do reasonably well on 2 subject tests, receive good letters of recommendation, write good essays, and maintain your GPA, you should have a chance upwards of 50% if you apply ED. However, if your sat is below 1550, your application might have trouble standing out.

Please take my advice with a grain of salt because I myself am yet to apply.

Honestly not enough info to tell

thats a lot of hypotheticals in order to attain a competitive chance. I’d take a look at the Duke results page to get an idea of what it takes to get in. @Optimism2018

What are your standardized test scores? That really is a big factor in how your admissions chances play out. However, looking at this and seeing your lack of hooks, for a school like Duke your chances don’t look so good without demonstrated leadership or clubs and extracurriculars that stand out in the admissions process.
