<p>qthoang19-what state are you from? that can make a difference on admission. maybe they wanted RGHelmcamp-what state are you from? If they are looking for someone from a particular region that can add to your application…don’t you think?</p>
<p>Yes, I had two letters of recommendation. I thought a counselor rec was required for all common app? I can not remember. </p>
<p>I’m from Texas. There was a total of 5 people from my high school who got in EA (and we are a very small class, 189), so perhaps being from Texas was an advantage. Just to let you know… we are all minorities. Two were south east Asian, two were Indian, and one was African (not black, but from Nigeria).</p>
<p>Well I’m from Texas, and I’m sure that can help but I don’t think that it would really place one person over another. I mean if there were two people with the EXACT same everything and they were looking for a certain region then maybe, but I doubt that happens much.</p>
