Let me know your thoughts! I think I have a pretty good shot, given the ~30% ED acceptance rate, but who knows.

Where are you getting the 30% ED acceptance rate from?

30% ED rate is ridiculous, and there is no authorative source corresponding with your statement.

You know what, I’m really sick of this chance game because ED1 is coming out. There is no point to chance you since you submitted your application and the decision is coming in a week. All you guys are merely asking for some “positive comments” to make your guys feeling better.

You just want us to respond with “good luck, you have a great chance” and you can get a nice sleep, but it’s not changing anything than your mood. And it’s sending a wrong signal to those who really need to be chanced, like RD or ED2 students: they can still use the chance information.

So, if I say you have a good shot, I will be lying because you ECs are not good enough ( I can name hundreds of people I know with exact some ECs, for most people can swim and run). But, since nothing can be changed, I will just suggest you to read a book or something.

Again, nothing can be changed. Even I say you have a bad chance, what are you gonna do? Withdraw your application? Please other ED1 person don’t post another chance, it’s useless for yourself and annoying for the other applicant and their families.

@JBStillFlying On another thread they worked backwards given the limited information about the admission statistics to arrive roughly at that rate.

@DariusTheGreat Sorry man I won’t do another chance me. Regarding swimming and running, I’m not saying that I can swim and run, but that I practiced them as sports with very large time commitments.

That ed acceptance rate comes from working backwards since clear statistics never were released. In short, if the 2% rd acceptance rate stat was correct, then the ed rate must’ve been high.

@collegethrowaway3473 Sorry, there is nothing personal here. You can also see how many ed chance posts in recent 3 days, and it’s really not the thing we should be working on: everything is settled, we just need to wait. Believe me, I have been through the process all myself like you guys, and I’m also worrying about my sister. We are all panicking, but it’s not helping. When everyone is worrying, and you use your time to do other works- you have some edges.

Maybe next time you can elabore more on your ECs and sports, then we will have a clearer picture, because we can very hardly predict how much time you put in it and your accompliments. If you want us to chance you, you can give more information.

Sorry for being rude, my fault.

@DariusTheGreat Gotchu. I feel like with sports, I could’ve done 5 different clubs with the amount of time I spend on them, and maybe that would’ve been better for college admissions. Hopefully the AOs understand this.

@DariusTheGreat Hey man, you alright? You wanna talk about somethin?

I feel like you have a higher chance than the average applicant given that you’re an URM with high test scores shooting for ED. College decisions are out of our hands tho, but best of luck!
