<p>I'm applying early decision to Wash U from a private school in Minnesota. I am a white male (oops), I have been to Wash U for business day (July 29) and an interview and loved it. I will also be applying for merit based scholarships basically just to show interest</p>

<p>GPA: 3.83 UW
-taken hardest classes possible at my school for all 4 years
ACT: 33 regular, 33 superscored (I am 1 point away from a 34 superscored so I will take it in December)
SATII: 650 math II, 710 US history (retaking in Dec.)
PSAT commended scholar
AP scholar (Calc AB 3 (not submitting, or should I???), APUSH 4 (ughhh), English comp 5)</p>

<p>-essays should good, same as recs</p>

<p>-two sport athlete for all 4 years, varsity letter in both sports junior year, expect the same senior year
-volunteering club, got an award for 100 hours junior year, going for 100 senior year
-raised $3000 in books and other supplies for a veterans' hospital
-various other extracurriculars</p>

<p>so just from this basic profile how do I look for early? what about regular if I get deferred? thanks!</p>

<p>*to elaborate on senior year courseload: physics (school doesnt offer ap physics), engineering, religion, latin 4, ap english, ap government, ap calc bc</p>

Retaking in December may help for RD, but I don’t think it will influence anything for ED. Personally, I don’t think it’s really worth the trouble to take the ACT just to get one extra point this late in the game. But that’s just my opinion.</p>
