I posted last year, but I thought I'd post again, as I now know I'll be applying as a hispanic, and I have more scores and ECs.

I'm planning on applying ED to the Jerome Fischer Management and Technology program, and deferring to SEAS (I'm interested specifically in BME). Both my parents went to Penn. I am probably a long shot for the Jerome Fischer program, but I hear a lot of it comes down to the essay, and I can defer to engineering if I don't get in.

-2nd Pianist in the top band of our extremely competitive jazz program, state level sight reading award
-Graphics Editor for the school newspaper
-Co-leader of a community service program for helping children learn to play music
-Science Olympiad - 2nd place as a team, personally I got 2 1st place medals at states
-Started the InvenTeams club. We didn't get the grant, but we made it halfway through and got some award

Senior Year Schedule

Volunteering

Pretty much, I see my GPA as my problem. My test scores are great, and my ECs are pretty good. Will that plus legacy and being an URM be enough to give me a good shot despite my GPA?

Thanks!
