Chance me for Emory

Hey guys, I’m an international applicant from the middle east, and I want you to chance me for Emory University. Here are my stats:

Intended major: Computer Science
GPA: 4.0 (Top 10% for three consecutive years)
SAT: 1410 (630 EBRW, 780 M)
SAT Subject tests: Physics 750
Math level 2: 760

I have not taken TOEFL or IELTS, but the primary language of instruction at my secondary school was English, and all courses I have taken were also in English.

Extracurriculars: class president for three years, founder and publisher of my school’s magazine, head of the school’s scientific committee for three years, Math Club president for three years, finalist at national Math Olympiad, and have a work experience.

I have spent considerable amount of time on writing my essay and I believe it is a very personal one.

Note: I need almost full financial aid. If you can suggest some other generous schools I can consider based on my stats, I would be glad!

Thanks!

I forgot to add that I am a gap year student.

Hang in there and don’t be put off by a lack of responses. Emory’s admissions, while extremely competitive, especially for the RD round, is tough to predict.

Your GPA is great, especially if it’s equivalent to unweighted here. Your SAT score is a little lower than average but still within the realm of possibility since your ECs look good. Emory admissions are very personality/fit-based so it’s hard to predict without seeing a full application and essay. I’d say you have a chance at admission, but I wouldn’t count on getting close to full financial aid as an international student.
