My BS History:
I have a genius brother who went to Exeter and got accepted to every prestigious university imaginable. Not my first time applying to boarding schools but when I applied before I was naive. I had the mentality, "Oh I’m one of the smartest kids in my school I don’t need to try and dress properly in my interview, Oh no one cares about the essay they don’t even read it I’ll just not try, oh my 63 percentile SSAT will be fine as long as I make it up with good recommendations (which I wasted due to my horrible application). I’ve learned and had a lot of growth over the past 2 years and realized that I still believe I would fit at a BS compared to my school and it’s worth a shot.
Note: I didn’t apply to Exeter, Andover, or Choate before and I am applying for 11th grade. I am not applying to safeties because I’m just trying to go big or go home.
My grades are normal but I hope my EC’s will give me a boost.

Recs:
Math Teacher: I have been her favorite student and constantly participating, also have an A in the class. I am sure it went well because she told me that it was her best letter that she ever wrote.
Humanities Rec: From Government teacher and I know she wrote well.
English Teacher: Was my teacher from last year and I believe he liked me but I am unsure how the recommendation was.
Personal Recommendation: From political mentor and I’m confident that it went well.
Special Interest Recommendation: From Diving Coach, I’m also confident in that recommendation.
Awards:
Only one but I’m still proud of it
GS Award given for recognized devotion towards Public Leadership and Volunteer Service given by Sen. Bernie Sanders and Ayanna Pressley
Essays:
I’ve spent a lot of time on my essays and have had them edited. I believe they are very honest and written well.
Interviews:
Choate: It felt very formal but I think it went well, after I was put in contact with a coach. He said he would put “a word” for me. 8.5/10
Andover: Everything went well and I felt a genuine connection with the alumni interviewer. 9/10
Exeter: Best interview of my life hands down. I used my natural humor and optimism and I believe it worked. The teacher knew my brother and told me that she thought I was a great fit for Exeter and that I would make a tremendous difference on campus. She also said I would fit perfectly with a certain political program that Exeter offered and I matched the vibe of the campus. 1000/10
