Letters of Recommendation:
I got one from an English teacher that likes me a lot and is also head of the department. I got the other from my math teacher because I thought it would make me seem well rounded. For the film supplements that required extra recs, I asked the supervisors of my school’s film program which I am a leader of. I’m confident they wrote nice ones because they were really rooting for me.

Essays:
In essays that allowed you to talk about yourself (rather than your major or the college) I tried to cover a variety of things including my passion for music, my love of learning languages, and my dedication to always making my friends laugh. My Common App essay was about my experience learning Japanese in community college.

I would say that you have a very good profile for an applicantto film programs. However, so do a very large number of students applying to schools on your list.
USC - very high reach, since this is the top film school in the country
UCLA - reach, especially since your weighted GPA is below the mid 50% of accepted students
Columbia - reach for everybody
University of Washington - a high match (your SAT is on the lower part of the mid 50%, and your GPA is in the middle)
UCSB - Match
UCSC - Match
UCSD - high match/low reach
NYU - high reach for anybody, very high reach for film majors
LMU - Match
USF - Safety (I assume that you mean U San Francisco), if you can afford tuition.

IMO, you have a decent list of reach and colleges, all which have great film programs. however, if paying for USF could be a problem, you may need another safety. You should also check what your plans are for paying tuition in the rest of the private colleges on your list.

For any really good film school, your portfolio is extremely important. Look at the admissions websites of film schools on your list to get a better feel.
