Chance me for Georgetown, George Washington, and George Mason!

Hey y’all!

I’m currently a Sophomore at Virginia Tech planning on transferring to either Georgetown, GW, or GMU (lots of Georges, I know!). I hope to go to law school after I graduate and study immigration law. I was wondering if you guys could chance me for these three colleges?

  • My GPA is a 3.53 (3.23 1st semester, 3.68 2nd, 3.58 3rd) and I'm majoring in International Public Policy
  • I have 45 credits done, 15 AP credits, and 17 in progress this semester
  • I know English, Arabic, advanced Spanish, and basic French
  • I've had a job every semester except last Spring
  • Had an online editing internship with a non-profit that works towards raising awareness to global poverty last summer
  • I currently also have a research position with a professor working on a Syrian Refugee project (I'm doing an independent study for this project too)
  • I'm only involved in one club on campus, but it is a cultural/language club.

Let me know what you guys think?

Lol one of those schools are very different from the others. You are looking good for both George Washington and George Mason, but Georgetown is on a different level. It stated on the Georgetown website that the average accepted transfer GPA is 3.82, so I would say that unless you have extenuating circumstances, Georgetown is probably gonna be a reach-strong reach.

Check out the Georgetown transfer profile : https://uadmissions.georgetown.edu/transfer/student-profile

Yeah I knew Georgetown would be an insane reach. Their average GPA and 12% acceptance rate is really hard for my stats but I wanted to at least try so I wouldn’t regret it later on. Thanks for your comment though, I appreciate it!

Any other opinions?
