Subject Tests: I will take the U.S. History, World History, and Critical Reading Subject tests this year. I am hoping to do well in them, since I am very strong in these subjects.
Extracurriculars: -Have participated for 2 years in the UIL Social Studies and Current Issues events and have done very well in both, receiving many awards for each. I have also qualified for the state championship in current issues this year.
-Participated in Speech and Debate for two years
-Participated in Quiz Bowl for two years, won a tournament and qualified for the state championship.
Volunteering: Not too strong in this area. I have logged 47 hours in two years in my schools volunteering organizations. I am also currently assisting in disaster relief efforts in the aftermath of Hurricane Harvey.
Leadership: I am president of the UIL Social Studies, Current Issues, and Quiz Bowl clubs at my school. I am also the chairman of Congressional Debate at my school.

Now I understand my GPA really hurts me here since these are all very competitive programs, so these are all reach schools for me. If I can write a good essay, submit good rec letters, and improve my SAT a bit would I have a chance?
