Chance me for Georgetown University- School of Foreign Service

Hello, i'm a junior in HS and recently visited Georgetown and fell in love with it. I'm hoping that I can pursue a degree in International Relations and tack on a few languages while i'm at it. Can someone tell me my chances of getting in (applying EA) and also what I should try to do more of, or fix to improve my chances.

I attend one of the nation's top of public schools in the NYC metro area, I believe we rank in the top 50.
My overall grade so far is a 92 which translates into 3.7 GPA if i'm not mistaken.
I'm planning on taking to SAT in December & ACT in January, and then maybe again for both if i'm unsatisfied with the scores but I did take an SAT Subject Test in Global and was able to get a 670, i'm thinking of retaking it so I can maybe get into the 700s. I'm planning on taking the French, US History and Lit Subject Tests as well by the end of the year.
So far i've taken AP Global (4) in sophomore year, and this year i'm in AP Lit, APUSH and AP Art. I'm anticipating that my schedule next year will include SUPA French (my school doesn't offer the AP course), SUPA Presentational Speaking, AP Language, AP US Gov & AP Psych. Please don't comment saying this is a lot of work - I know but I believe I am well prepared and I tend to perform better in AP classes than I do in honors/regular from what i've noticed.
I think my extracurriculars are what i'm really leaning on though,
JV Volleyball (9-10)
Art Club (9-11)
French Club (9-12), President 11& 12
Women's Empowerment Club (10-12)
Model UN (11-12), anticipating to be an officer position next year.
Hillary Clinton 2016 Presidential Campaign Fundraising, (11-12) Founder and President of Sect. I have about 30 members and from September we've already been able to raise 1,000 and enlighten minority, youth and women voters on elections and the democrat party
Community Service & Charity - Room to Read (11-12), Humane Society Volunteer (9-12), Relay for Life (9-12, had a big part in organizing for this particular group i'm in)
As far as jobs go I babysit often so i'm not sure if that can count as a job but I also will be a paid intern at the Met Museum this summer. I'm anticipating to get around 7 rec. letters since i've been able to establish good relationships with my teachers and guidance counselors, I've also been going to the Art Students League of Manhattan for a few years now and some of my teachers have been recognized and somewhat famous artists, one said she is willing to write a letter for me which I believe could be a big plus since she's shown in the MoMa, Whitney, etc.
So please comment and tell me what you believe my chances of acceptance are! Thank you xoxo :x

I forgot to mention that i’ve done two art shows so far and will be doing two more this year. I’m also in National Honro Society, Language Honor Society, Rho Kappa Social Studies HS, and English HS. I’m not a big math and science person and am taking integrated algebra this year because of a not so great year in geometry last year, though I do have a 97 average in that class so hopefully schools will see that I am trying.

Getting into Georgetown is hard. Getting into the Walsh School is even harder (250 students selected a year).

Get your scores up as high as possible. Continue with your political work. Concentrate on languages.

good luck!

thank you!

It’s a big reach.
Can you study abroad (if only during the summer, or, better, for part of the year, in an international school or a French lycée?) Or perhaps take a Sciences Po class in the summer in Paris? (or an American University Political Science class, but it definitely doesn’t have the same cachet).
Can you get to post-AP French and take a sophomore or junior-level college French class?
Can you start on another foreign language (Arabic, Susu, Wolof - one of the languages of countries where French is the administrative or alternate official language)?

I’m in the process of starting to learn Arabic, and there is no AP french class offered in my school only SUPA which works to my advantage because that is a college level course, besides that I have been taking 6 years of French and have outside knowledge from family. By the time I graduate I will have fluent-working proficiency. I can’t study abroad in the time that I have left in HS but i’m looking for more options that keep me local i’m sure there is a wide range of them since I live in NYC

You can take the Ap test even if you didn’t take the AP class. It’s at CEF B1 level, so doable. You could also take the SAT Subject French (and score 750+) You’d need to demonstrate proficiency, unless you’re actually French. Taking summer classes in French should be very easy in NYC - go for one at the prestigious schools if you can afford it because they’re likely to have advanced, interesting classes.

Thank you! I wasn’t aware that taking an AP test that wasn’t offered within my school was an option, I am planning on taking the SAT II since Gtown wants at least 3 of those, i’m sure i’d be able to score well.
